First Sao Paulo Layover!!! :)

WOW! I never thought this day would ever come! Direct flights from Dubai to my hometown Sao Paulo, where Mum & Dad popped me 26 years ago! :P But here we are, the joys of working for an airline that has been going beyond expectations every year and adding an average of 8 new destinations per year.
I was so excited the night before that I could barely sleep. In fact, there was more than excitement disturbing my rest. I woke up around 3am with rashes all over my body. ☹ They were so itchy and I thought: “Crap! Im gonna have to call sick for my 1st Sao Paulo flight!” But then I decided to walk down to a near by hospital and got diagnosed with an allergic reaction. A few injections later I was back in bed and still managed to sleep for 3 hours before I had to go to the Airport.
The flight to Sao Paulo is one of the longest on the network, taking an average of 15Hours to get there. I was very excited to be there, boarding the passengers in Portuguese, distributing Brazilian newspapers, etc. When we landed into Sao Paulo, as I was doing both Portuguese & English announcements, I was almost crying, it felt so good to arrive back home, where it all started. ☺
I was very lucky because this layover was a 54 Hour one, so I had enough time to see my family, buy brazilian food to bring back to Dubai, and party with my friends. Also managed to take some of the Crew out for dinner on the second day, and I am sure they had a good time!
So yeah, on the return flight to Dubai I had this amazing feeling of mission accomplished, cant explain why, it was just really nice to return to Sao Paulo operating a flight! Looking forward to coming back!

- Seychelles with Felix, Rodolfina & Nick – A paradise was found again…

Once again I was back to Seychelles! But this time instead of being a romantic getaway, it was more like a bunch of good friends getting pissed on a boat and having fun! As my dear friend Felix had a few days off I then invited him to come along with me as a passenger, meanwhile cute Rodolfina invited herself and also came along with us. During the flight we became friendly with most of the Crew on board, and by the time we arrived at our Beachfront Hotel we were all best mates!!!
First things first, so as soon as we got our allowances we went out to buy a few drinks for the rest of the afternoon. Chilling on the Beach, drinking Seybrew (the local beer) and listening to Ben Harper on my mobile playing as the background music, all this while watching a perfect sunset. It was very surreal.
We then had dinner and as we do, ended up in my room getting pissed till late that night. I do recall some of us dancing at some stage in the hotel main bar area, but not quite sure now. :P
On the second day, yes it was a 2 day layover! ☺ We hired a boat and went away to explore the other close by islands. We spent the whole day out in the sun, and I don’t think I have to mention how I was matching the girls hats on the flight back, do I? :s I don’t think I had never been so sunburnt in my whole life! Seriously, I felt so stupid and was in so much pain that wasn’t funny. Thank God our supervisor on board was this really cool guy and told me to relax and do fuck all on the way back to Dubai, cos I was seriously not fit to work hey.

First time in Athens!!!

After over 2 years flying with Emirates I finally managed to get a flight to Athens!!! As it was a weekday there was no point going out clubbing with the Greeks, so I decided to keep it simple and only explore Athens famous touristy places. Athens is definitely beautiful, especially in summer. Nothing else to record…. ☺
